According to vsnet-campaign 482, the dwarf nova V1062 Cyg has been undergoing a 'bright' outburst during the interval Aug.31.9 to Sept.07.9 UT. The possibility exists that observers are confusing V1062 Cyg with a star of about 14.9V only a few arc-seconds southwest of the dwarf nova position as given in Downes+Shara'97. The 14th mag star that may be misleading observers is not indicated on the AAVSO E chart 8/96 but is very evident on the RealSky image of this region. Could someone kindly attempt to clarify this situation ?? That having been said, I would like to offer the following tentative CCDV estimate: CYGV1062 20000910.274 <16.0V OCN regards, Steve O'Connor Quebec, Canada. ocn@total.net
