Photoelectric photometry of N Sgr 2003 = V4745 Sgr by A.C. Gilmore, University of Canterbury's Mt John Observatory; equipment and reference stars as in IAUC 8123. 2003 UT V U-B B-V V-R V-I Air mass Apr.28.635 9.31 -0.84 -0.09 +0.55 +0.32 1.09 Uncertainties 0.02 mag or less in all colours --------- Pam Kilmartin identified the possible pre-cursor on an DSS2 R dowloaded from the ESO website URL http://archive.eso.org/dss/dss/ The magnitude was provided by Astrometrica 4 and is probably too bright, as vsnet discussion suggests. The pre-cursor is near the limit of the DSS2 plate. If you like, we are happy to send you our CCD image and the 3' x 3' DSS2 image download. Kind regards. Alan Gilmore
