Not intended as a criticism of ASAS-3! There just seems to be a lot of focus on it (by others, not principals) as a be-all and end-all, while Paczynski and Co. are up front about it as a step on a path. 1x/day samples are great for finding periodic behavior in stars, even periodic behavior with periods much less than the sample rate. Care must be exercised not to read too much into any dataset, though. Jim
