   These articles are PVSS 16, 80 (1989), 17, 74 (1990), 19, 54 (1993),
although I don't have an access to these issues. However, this report
has been widely discussed (and sometimes referred) when interpreting
the physics of dwarf nova outbursts. [It is a pity that PVSS articles
are outside the free interenet access from many of amateur/professional
scientists, in spite of their full of scientific information].

Knowing this information, we have been always trying to confirm such
a phenomenon in well-observed dwarf novae, but have been unable to
detect a very convicing case. One may remember that there was an
ALEXIS alert of U Gem detectopm prior to the actual outburst, and called
attention because of this particular interest. That detection was later
confirmed to be a noise. There is a corresponding article on this U Gem
case on the VSNET ALEXIS alert page.
