[vsnet-chat 6331] Incorrect ids in ASAS3

    Hi All,
I have done some poking around in the ASAS3 catalog. I noticed
that 20 stars are identified by their Sonneberg (Sxxxx) numbers. I wondered
whether they had NSV or GCVS names. I have looked them up, and sure
enough, most do have NSV numbers. I reproduce a sort-of facsimile of the
ASAS3 catalog, for the relevant stars. Note, however, that for two of the
stars, the Sonneberg number is incorrect, and should be removed. I have
checked
both Sonneberg stars using the published finder charts, so there is no
doubt
that S4834 and S8892 refer to distinctly different stars.
Regards,
Mati Morel
