Re: [vsnet-obs 45064] Re: CCD observations by Kis (Apr.+)

Sebastian,

These observations are exactly what I received from Kiyota-san.
No conversion error is responsible.

As I have heard, Kiyota-san is trying to establish a CCD photometry
system of bright objects using a 25cm telescope + an aperture stop.
This instrument is probably still under development, and the errors may
have been larger than expected. [+possibly Kiyota-san's typos ;-)]

We wish we can hear more about from Kiyota-san directly.

Well, there are a number of professional instances in the past that
errors with several magnitudes were published without notice. They may
have been even as bad as to report B-V = -5.0 ;-). And sometimes other
professionals tried to make a theory to explain the anomaly...
Of course, the present case is probably not associated with such
professional issues.

Regards,
Taichi Kato
