[vsnet-chat 6300] Re: Reason why the AAVSO members don't get news from VSNET?

I'm very, very sorry and I mean no disrespect, but I find this very
amusing. It seems the world is divided into two groups: those people
that get a lot of VSNET emails and just take it as the way the world
is, and those people that get a lot of VSNET emails who get uptight
about it. I've been in both camps. The VSNET crew is very, very
thorough at getting information out to people. You have to give them
that. I've learned to live with it and I'm starting to like it.

I'm not calling Aaron or anyone at the AAVSO uptight. I know what those
guys put up with everyday and I respect the hell out of them. Nor am I
accusing VSNET of any malevolent behavior. They are a very important
and enthusiastic organization. This is the world we live in.

If the people on the AAVSO want to get news from VSNET, I think they
are capable of doing so. I appreciated the weekly updates on the AAVSO
list, but some people tire of duplicate messages since it is so easy to
sign up for a list if you are interested.

Cheers,
Michael Koppelman
