Hi Rod, Sebastian, Peter et al,

I'm talking to some people in Whangarei about visual observing on Saturday. One of the target stars will be R Carinae and I notice it's bright at the moment. But is it rising or falling - can anyone comment? What's the state of any other bright Miras?

The CCD camera is broken at the moment, so that explains the lack of measures recently. But I hope to have a replacement tonight.
