Dear colleagues, This is an interesting year for those who like SDOR stars. The bright SDOR stars in Carina are very active. I want to share my updated visual lightcurves of these three stars with you: AG Carinae is brightening and after 4 years it is brighter than 7th magnitude. Currently at V= 6.7. Interesting months to come. http://ar.geocities.com/varsao/Curva_AG_Car.htm HR Carinae is acting the opposite way. It reached its brightest historic peak at the end of August 2001 (V= 6.7) and now it has faded down to V= 7.6. Coincidentally it has been also 4 years since it was this faint. http://ar.geocities.com/varsao/Curva_HR_Car.htm Eta Carinae currently around 5.3, in a "low state" of its pulsations. If everything goes as expected, the 2003 event should find the star in a bright state in 4 months. http://ar.geocities.com/varsao/Curva_Eta_Carinae.htm Regards, Sebastian. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
