Its interesting that my faint observation was just shortly before it outburst. 0803+62 SU UMA FEB 22.8720 2452693.372 14.9 PYG V 0803+62 SU UMA FEB 23.3681 2452693.8681 15.3 LMK 0803+62 SU UMA FEB 23.7972 2452694.2972 14.2 VJA 0803+62 SU UMA FEB 24.7951 2452695.2951 11.9 GUN Y I would like to know what comp stars PYG and VJA used. I used the new Simonsen/Henden chart, which has significantly fainter magnitudes for the comps than the official aavso charts. For example I used the Henden 150 and 155 comps, which are labelled as 142 and 146, respectively on the aavso e 2/97 chart. So, the question is is there a significant fade just before outburst, or is it just an illusion due to different comp stars being used?
