[vsnet-chat 3519] NSV 19555

Just curiosity:
                         Has anyone ever observed NSV 19555?
It turns out that it's a very red star. It was reported by Rogelio Pizzi from OCR (Observatorio Cristo Rey - Rosario, Argentina) in 1995 to have a CCD range 9.44 - 11.29 (NSV data) and a possible Mira type.
The NSV lists the range as V but it's a mistake.
Recent observations confirm the amplitud: 9.0 - 11.5.
Gustavo Ballan fron OCR caught a glimpse of the star at maximum (9.0 CCD unfiltered) and reports that corresponds to a V= 12.2 (GSC comparison stars) so the star is actually very red.

The star is IRAS 12533-6041.
USNO-A2.0 = 0225-15750079   B= 18.1   R= 10.3 ---> V= 13.2
Position (USNO) is:   12h 56m 25.64s  -6057' 55.4" (2000.0)

Visual observations are encouraged.

Best regards,
Sebastian.
