Goranskij's paper in IBVS (No. 3464) should be considered authoritative. He identifies an eclipsing binary (period 0.7365483 days) with GM Sgr, but notes that not only does it differ by 2' in position from Luyten's variable (HV 4048), but that the variability ranges do not overlap, and the variability types are different (EA vs SR). A finding chart can be found in Goranskij's paper; Luyten published no chart, and only approximate coordinates for this variable. Goranskij's star appears in the Guide Star Catalog as GSC 6848.03786. It is misidentified in Downes & Shara (1993), but can be found on their chart ~5.5mm S and ~2mm E of the star that is marked. Its coordinates have been corrected in DWS (1997), but a corrected chart was not issued, in light of Goranskij's conclusion that it is, after all, not a novalike variable. Regards, Ron Webbink
