Dear Taichi,
I think the last thing on our (at least on my) mind was to complain about the VSNET running. We really appreciate 'our' VSNET! Every system can be optimised though.
Another separate maillist...?? I wonder.
Just as you stated ''Usually, I stress more on systems or outbursts deserving more attention" is the right thing to do. As we go along the important targets will show themselves by contrast to the 'usuals' and re: "(please forgive my relative ignorance on sountern systems).'' everything is forgiven or rather, your knowledge of Southern targets is not that bad... In case of more important finds and discoveries noticed in the Southern sky, we will inform you. I am pretty sure P Schmeer wouldn't mind stating this in capitals on his postings...
Re: the USNO charts: as I said it's often the only reference some of us have, just wondering about their photometric accuracy...
Regards,
Berto
