Below is another photometric sequence from the literature, this time a faint BVI sequence observed by Chevalier and Ilovaisky around the x-ray transient object GRO J0422+32 = Nova Persei 1992 = V518 Persei. Using their chart I have identified the stars in the GSC and in the comprehensive USNO A1.0 star catalogue. Along with the BVI photometry, the final columns show the red and blue magnitudes from the A1.0 catalogue. If we assume that V-R is exactly one-half of the V-I color, then the A1.0 'r' magnitudes are consistently about 0.5 mag. too bright in this field compared to Cousins R. The blue magnitudes can be compared more directly, and this shows the A1.0 'b' magnitudes are close to standard B in this region, and with very little scatter. \Brian ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Photometry of stars in the field of GRO J0422+32 source: Chevalier & Ilovaisky (1995 A&A 297, 103) Name RA (2000) Dec GSC V B-V V-I mr mb 2 4 21 41.3 +32 54 02 17.01 0.94 1.08 16.0 17.9 3 4 21 37.7 +32 53 41 2376-1152 14.14 0.82 1.00 13.1 15.0 4 4 21 42.6 +32 54 49 16.62 1.04 1.18 15.5 17.9 5 4 21 47.7 +32 55 29 17.74 1.02 1.17 16.6 18.9 6 4 21 46.7 +32 55 22 16.92 0.88 1.02 16.0 17.7 7 4 21 44.9 +32 55 14 15.74 0.98 1.14 14.7 16.6 8 4 21 42.2 +32 55 32 15.67 1.09 1.20 14.4 16.7 9 4 21 40.0 +32 55 43 2376-1048 14.52 1.30 1.40 13.3 15.9 10 4 21 43.1 +32 56 53 2376-1592 14.35 1.30 1.39 13.2 15.6
