We must have to use some lettered sequence or GSC until the coming
"Hipparcos Output Catalogue", since only usable HIC star is 7.8 mag in
this field. Some of our observers have started usuing GSC for comparison.
I was rather surprised to hear that RU Cen is such neglected, since
the name of the star is well-known even among northerners. What about
SX Cen? Though RU Cen and SX Cen are too far south, I have once tried
AI Sco, AR Pup and AR Sgr -- the results too unsatisfactory due to the
heavy light pollution in the south direction.
