I have obtained the following astrometric position of the north companion
to V1830 Sgr.
(J2000.0)
181350.62 -274213.2
The astrometric solution was made using 37 GSC stars, after rejecting
stars with residuals exceeding 1 arcsec. The new position has an O-C of
(-0".3, -0".3) to the value of GSC. This field is rich in stars with large
residuals (sometimes 2 or 3 arcsec), probably resulting from crowding,
but the companion of V1830 Sgr seems to have escaped from this difficulty.
