[vsnet-chat 253] visual observations of BU Tau

    Motivated by a recent issue of Astronomy Letters 23, 93 (Sharov and
Lyutyi), I have compared the photoelectric and visual observations (mainly
from the VSOLJ) of BU Tau, which experience a shell ejection in 1972.
The result was very encouraging.  Most visual observers detected a minimum
of a depth of ~0.3 mag in V between 1972 and early 1980's, with a smooth,
gradual rise to today.
