V585 Lyr rebrightening, Kyoto observation Dear Colleagues, The present rebrightening on Oct. 3 was independently noted by the Kyoto team (Ishioka-san and Uemura-san), and was followed for 4.4 hours. The resultant light curve did not show a rapid fading trend (even a slow rising), indicating that the rebrightening was caught during its premaximum stage. There were also superimposed hump-like features (about 0.1 mag), which may be persistent (late)superhumps. Such long persistence of late-stage superhumps is only rarely seen (notably in WZ Sge-type stars), and we encourage further long time-series photometry to record the evolution of these humps, and to look for possible another rebgihtening (as seens in EG Cnc). The pre-rebrightening stage was densely observed by the Kyoto team and Torii-san (RIKEN); we would be also grateful to receive any further data. Regards, Taichi Kato VSNET Collaboration team
