[vsnet-campaign-dn 3707] MM Sco observation by Bernard Heathcote

MM Sco observation by Bernard Heathcote

Dear Colleagues,

We have received May 27 fully analyzed data of MM Sco from Bernard
Heathcote. The object was fading at a rate of 0.5 mag/d. There was
an indication of 0.05 mag variations, which may be either related
to orbital or superhump-type modulation. Although the observation
does not exclude the possibility of the early stage of a superoutburst,
the fainter magnitude than in the past superoutbursts makes it more
likely a normal outburst. In any case, this would be the first
time-resolved photometry of a faint (normal?) outburst of this object.
Keep observing if the object is recorded still bright.

Regards,
Taichi Kato
