XZ Eri: superhumps and eclipses Dear Colleagues, We have received further high-quality data from Lew Cook, and partly finished analyzing the Tanabe-san (VSNET Okayama), Okayama U. of Sci. team, Torii-san (RIKEN) and Kyoto data. On Feb. 4, the superhumps became less prominent. On Feb. 5, the superhump maxima were superimposed on the eclipses, with a possibly slight increase of the amplitude. The most notable phenomenon is the emergence of very deep eclipses. On Feb. 5, the depth of the eclipses reached nearly 1.6 mag! The superhumps are not becoming double-humped (main superhump maximum and likely secondary superhump maximum). We can expect a dramatic change (toward the end of the superoutburst) of the superhumps within several days. Please keep watching! Regards, Taichi Kato VSNET Collaboration team
