RU Hor: definite superoutburst of a new SU UMa star!
Dear Colleagues,
The VSNET Collaboration has just received RU Hor run on Sep. 27 from
Greg Bolt. The light curve already clearly shows fully developed
superhumps with an amplitude of 0.25 mag. RU Hor is now established
to be a genuine SU UMa-type dwarf nova. Congratulations to Rod and Greg!
We have obtained a preliminary superhump period of 0.0716(3) d.
Further follow-up observations are strongly urged to refine this period.
Regards,
Taichi Kato
