[vsnet-alert 2072] XTE J1710-281 = 1RXS J171012.3-280754

XTE J1710-281 = 1RXS J171012.3-280754

   According to IAUC 6998, the RXTE serendipitously detected a new X-ray
transient which is apparently identical with the RXS source 1RXS
J171012.3-280754.

  Position from the RXTE observation:

   17h 10m 12s +/- 2'  (J2000.0)
   -28o 07',1  +/- 4'

  1RXS J171012.3-280754:

  171012.3 -280753 (2000.0) 1RXS171012.3-280754 0.281 0.88 0.46

  Follow-up observations are encouraged.
