Hi Taichi,
> Possible superoutburst of V1504 Cyg
The present outburst definitely is a superoutburst ! I obtained nearly 6
hours of CCD photometry on the object last night (1998, Aug 04/05). The
resulting light curve shows prominent superhumps with a mean semi-amplitude
of 0.16 mag. A very rough estimate of the superhump period, using PDM,
yields a value of 0.073 d, though this should not considered a final result
yet. The equipment used was a 10" f/6.3 SCT and ST-7 CCD (unfiltered).
The object has been monitored by other members of the CBA network too, last
night (e.g., Dave Harvey). His data also show the superhumps, confirming the
present outburst is indeed a superoutburst.
Kind regards,
Tonny Vanmunster
