Further to this message I have placed an image of M51 taken on
1997 May 26.00737 on the web at:

This was taken by Denis Buczynski, Glyn Marsh and Nick James using the 0.33m,
f/3.1 Conder Brow Automatic telescope.
The image does not appear to show a new object.
