APPENDIX
The "Odessa Astronomical Publications" is distributed among 200
libraries in the world, the abstracts of the articles are referred
in the "Astronomy & Astrophysics Abstracts".
Likewise majority of the journals we would like to receive files
to produce easily the camera-ready pages. Because e-mail is too
expensive for us, please do NOT send these files via e-mail - You may
give them to I.L.Andronov personally or on a floppy by snail mail.
The deadline is September 4. One camera-ready hardcopy is needed.
To avoid distribution of the own style file we use the standard
ARTICLE. The commands are included in the text. As an example You may
use vol.7 (1994). The abstract must not exceed 15 lines, the keywords
must correspond to the As.Ap.Abstracts list.
If You plan to send the abstract only, please clarify in which
journal will be published the full article. Such abstracts <5 pages
may be accepted, but one may not achieve they will be referred in AAA.
The page is separated into two columns, thus the width of figures and
tables must not exceed 83mm=3.26 inches=980 pixels for one column
(commands \table, \figure) and 170mm=6.69" =2007 pixels for wide objects
(commands \table*, \figure*).
The "thebibliography" environment in the "article" style suggests the
numeration of the bibliographical references. We use the "author, year"
references adopted in As.Ap. This suggests manual hyphens with a command
-\h (see example). Reference is ended by the line break command\\.
Figures are accepted in the standard PCX format, allowing to edit
and insert images, if needed. To prepare such file from the graphic
program (e.g. Grapher, Plot40) one may choose printer
"HP Laser 300 dpi normal", output to file. Recommended line width 2
pixels~0.02mm. Axis labels of the height 0.10" (roman bold font),
other labels 0.12" (italic bold). The binary file may be transferred
to pcx:
pcltomsp -op input_file_name.ext output.pcx
Thank You not only for an exellent contribution but for the perfect
file as well!
Example:
\documentstyle[twocolum]{article}
\oddsidemargin -3mm
\evensidemargin -3mm
\topmargin -14mm
\textwidth 170mm
\textheight 240mm
\newcommand{\h}{\linebreak\hspace*{3ex}}
