[vsnet-alert 3904] QY Per: Bad news/good news

Bad news:
It is cloudy here in Northern California tonight (New Year's Eve). No
observations of QY Per tonight.

The Good News:
The clouds have given me time to run the second night's observations
thru the reduction programs.

Findings:
Superhumps with period 0.076 +/- 0.03 (est) PDM/AVE over about 3
cycles.
Superhump amplitude (max-min) =0.30 magnitude approximately.
The brightness of the star at the peak of the superhumps on JD
2451543.7 is the same as previous night on the first 2 peaks, but
perhaps a litle less on the third peak. The bottom of superhump cycle
is fainter by ~0.1 magnitude than the previous night - the amplitude
of the superhump cycle increased by becoming fainter at minimum.
