The MACHO project has detected a candidate microlensing event in
progress towards the Galactic bulge.

V                             ~20.7
R                             ~19.8
 

A ~2.1 and rising on 15 Aug, expected peak near 25 Aug, duration 38
+/- 16 days.  Finding charts and lightcurves are available on the web
