IN IAUC No. 6348, J. Oaul et al. reported on a discovery of a new (hard) X-ray transient, GRS 1739-278. The source position has been estimated to be either at 17h39m28s, -27o45'.6 or 17h38m07s, -34o24'.0 (B1950.0, uncertainty 3'). They suggested that the new source may be a black hole transient, as judged from its hard spectrum.
