V4740 Sgr

The object was reported to be at about 12.3mag in February (vsnet-campaign-nova 840). B. Tregaskis then reported a brightening of this nova since March 4 (vsnet-campaign-nova 876). B. Skiff commented that the color of V-Ic<0, which was reported by some observers and is quite atypical for novae, is probably caused by color problems in Tycho-1 catalogue (vsnet-campaign-nova 880, 881, 882).  D. West reported revised photometry using Tycho-2 catalogue and showed V-Ic <= 0, indicating very blue for a nova (vsnet-campaign-nova 883).
