SN 2002bh was discovered by the LOTOSS team on images taken on February
24 (17.1mag) and 25 (17.2mag). The host of SN 2002bh is a spiral galaxy
UGC 5286. The expected maximum for typical SN Ia is mag about 16.0 (vsnet-campaign-sn
358). This SN turned out to have been a type-II SN near maximum on Mar.
6 (Asiago team and CfA team). It was mag about 17.4 on Mar. 2 (vsnet-campaign-sn
363).
