V1039 Cen : Nova in Centauri

W. Liller reported the discovery of a possible nova of 8.6mag on October 1 (vsnet-campaign-nova 594). Confirmations were reported by some visual observers (vsnet-campaign-nova 597), and then, the nova started relatively fast fading (vsnet-campaign-nova 611). The reported magnitudes since October 12 indicate possible oscillations between 11.1-11.6 (vsnet-campaign-nova 625). On October 23, it brightened to the second maximum of 10.4mag as reported by A. Pearce (vsnet-campaign-nova 638). The object again started fading from the second maximum. The third maximum was observed at 11.8mag on November 22 (vsnet-campaign-nova 656). The nova was shown to be in nebular phase on November 12 according to spectroscopy by Della Valle et al. (vsnet-campaign-nova 655).
