U Gem : Long slightly bright state before outburst
Since the end of January, serveral observers reports that U Gem was
brighter than usual quiescence at around 13.8mag
(vsnet-campaign 717).
This slightly active state continued a few month, which is unusual for
this object
(vsnet-campaign-dn 519).
On April 25, J. Gunther reported a possible outburst at 13.2mag
(vsnet-campaign-dn 701),
and then on April 26, the object finally showed an outburst reaching
full maximum on April 27 - 28
(vsnet-campaign-dn 703,
717).
The outburst continued for 10 days, and then, has began fading
since around May 6
(vsnet-campaign-dn 757).
The next outburst was reported on October 28 by M. Simonsen
(vsnet-campaign-dn 1794).
The outburst passed the peak of this outburst, and then, started
gradual fading
(vsnet-campaign-dn 1834).
The object returned to quiescence in the mid-November
(vsnet-campaign-dn 1908).
