HO Del : Rare superoutburst in August
HO Del is of particular interest because of its short period
(Psh=0.0607 d), and unusual evolution of superhumps.
P. A. Dubovsky reported a possible outburst of the short-period SU
UMa-type dwarf nova HO Del (14.5:mag) on July 28. This outburst was not
confirmed by follow-up observations.
(vsnet-campaign-dn 1048).
The object experienced a rare superoutburst started on August 27
detected by M. Reszelski. The last secure outburst detection dates
back to 1996 August
(vsnet-campaign-dn 1399).
M. Moilanen performed time-series observations on August 29.
The obtained light curve clearly showed superhumps with a period of
0.063262d
(vsnet-campaign-dn 1419).
The superoutburst continued until around September 8. The object
significantly faded on September 9
(vsnet-campaign-dn 1534).
