CY UMa: December superoutburst
P. Schmeer and E. Muyllaert detected an outburst of the SU UMa-type dwarf nova
CY UMa on Februrary 25
at 13.0 and 12.9mag, respectively.
The previous outburst was detected by
H. Maehara on 1999 December 25.758 UT at mv= 12.1
(vsnet-alert 3857) and
turned out to be a supermaximum
(vsnet-alert 4276,
vsnet-alert 4277).
The object rapidly faded from the outburst.
The other outburst was reported on April 19 (13.2mag by E. Muyllaert)
(vsnet-alert 4644,
vsnet-alert 4645).
The outburst was again normal one.
As reported by E. Muyllaert on December 14, CY UMa is in outburst at 12.5mag
(vsnet-campaign-dn 311).
It turned out to be a superoutburst.
J. Pietz reported his 3-hour observation on December 17 shows
clear humps with an amplitude of 0.3mag
(vsnet-campaign-dn 317).
