CH UMa: Bright outburst in April
On April 14, P. A. Dubovsky reports the possible brightening of CH UMa
at 12.4mag, a long-period SS Cyg-type dwarf nova. The last major outburst
of CH UMa occurred in 1999 March
(vsnet-alert 4623,
vsnet-alert 4624,
vsnet-alert 4625,
vsnet-alert 4629,
vsnet-alert 4631).
As reported by several observers, it became a very bright outburst
reached 10.1mag. The peak magnitude may surpass previously recorded
maxima
(vsnet-alert 4642).
As reported by J. Gunther, CH UMa experienced another outburst at 12.9mag
on December 17
(vsnet-campaign-dn 318).
