AQ CMi: 2000 February outburst; normal ?
On February 28, C. Jones and G. Poyner detected an outburst of the
SU UMa-type dwarf nova AQ CMi at 14.8 and 14.6mag, respectively
(vsnet-alert 4296).
The latest confirmed
superoutburst of AQ CMi occurred in 1997 March. Another outburst was
recorded in 1998 October, whose nature was unclear (three outburst
observations)
(vsnet-alert 4297,
vsnet-alert 4299).
The object rapidly faded. On February 29, S. Kiyota reported
it is fainter than V=15.54. The nature of the outburst is unclear
(vsnet-alert 4306).
