V2051 Oph eclipse ephemeris
V2051 Oph eclipse ephemeris
The rare deeply eclipsing SU UMa-type dwarf nova V2051 Oph (cf. IBVS
4644) is most likely undergoing a superoutburst. High-speed photometry
is very urgently requested.

=============== Announcements made On 1998 May superoutburst =================
(from vsnet-alert 1796)
The eclipsing, suspected SU UMa-type dwarf nova has brightened considerably
indicating the star undergoing the first-ever-observed superoutburst since
the discovery. According to Wenzel (IBVS), an examination of ~400 Sonneberg
plates could not reveal brightenings (typical limiting magnitude 11.5-13).
High-speed photometry to reveal superhumps and eclipse features is most
urgently requested.
(from vsnet-alert 1819)
PDM analysis by Kato using CCD observation by Kiyota on May 20-22 (posted to
vsn et-obs) indicates that superhump period of V2051 Oph is around 0.0642d.
This period is a little bit longer than orbital (eclispse) period.
So, we conclude that V2051 is one of member of UGSU (SU UMa type).
