[vsolj-alert 36] on possible SN in NGC4478

on possible SN in NGC4478

　昨日のNGC4478の超新星？ですが、vsnet-alertに以下の情報が投稿されています。
　過去の画像で該当の位置に星が写っているものもあるようで、超新星ではない感じ
　ですがどうでしょうか？　銀河中心のごく近傍にあると報告されたものについては
　よくわかりません。

  NGC4478（RA 12h 30' 19.820"   DEC +12 19' 26.030" (J2000) ）
  の中心核より北に1"の位置に天体状の像が確認できます。

 The observation team of the Osaka Kyoiku University (OKU)
 reports a possible supernova in NGC 4478.
 The possible supernova, appeared in NGC4478（RA 12h 30' 19.820"
 DEC +12 19' 26.030" (J2000) ), is offset 1".0 north of
 the nucleus of the galaxy.

If this magnitude means that of a possible SN, and if its host galaxy 
NGC4478 locates the same distance as M87, this possible SN seems to 
be too brighter to be typical SN II or SN Ib/c. And the host galaxy
is elliptical one. These suggests that, if it is really SN event, it 
should be of type Ia, possibly before the maximum. 

The identifications and following observations are extremely urged. 
SN Ia in Virgo cluster gives us the oppotunity to verify the
homogenuity of SNe Ia.

Attached is an SBIG ST-6 CCD image of the possible supernova in NGC 4478
identified
by R. Tut Campbell on 1998 Feb 21 05:51 UT (VSNet alert 1483).
This observation has apparently been confirmed by the Osaka Team (VSNet-alert
1484).

Responding the Call for Confirmation from Dr. Campbell, we OKU
observation team have imaged NGC 4478 on Feb. 22 UT.
But, a point source (about 14.1 mag) has been detected at 15".0
north of the nuclei of NGC4478, which appeared in "Kuma Kogen
Astronomical Observatory galaxy images archive ".

location given by CCD posted to this list.

Dear Sirs,
I'm sending as an attachment a jpg with NGC 4478 and star close to a
core.
As mentioned in this list, it is possible that this is not a supernova -
I checked DSS but images there are overexposed and the star should be
hidden in a galaxy. I found one image on the Internet with NGC 4478 and
there is some stelar object on the SN possition. Further observations
coudl show ligt changes or some spectroscopy could be made.
