This will be the eleventh in a series of topical conferences that are
arranged each autumn by scientists at the Goddard Space Flight Center
and the University of Maryland. Each of the conferences is devoted to
a single topic in astrophysics research, and is organized to elicit the
free discussion of ideas. This year's conference will be devoted to the
discussion of new data and ideas associated with young supernova remnants.

The oral presentations will be organized into non-parallel sessions that
are 2 to 2-1/2 hours in duration. A typical session will include two or
three formal invited talks (each about 30-minutes). The chair will
encourage free discussion of the session topic, including one minute for
each poster author to advertise his/her poster with one viewgraph.

Invited speakers who have already confirmed their attendance are:
Arnon Dar, Bill Blair, John Blondin, David Branch, Claude Canizares,
Roger Chevalier, John Danziger, Rob Fesen, Alex Filippenko, Bryan
Gaensler, Alice Harding, Jeff Hester, Jack Hughes, Una Hwang, Vicky
Kaspi, Bob Kirshner, Dick McCray, Chris McKee, Rob Petre, John
Raymond, Steve Reynolds, Larry Rudnick, Virginia Trimble, and Kurt
Weiler.
