Due to popular demand the Editor has again dragged himself away
from the festivities to prepare another Christmas Quiz:

1) Who discovered Nova Aur 1891 (=T Aur)?

2) What instrument did George Alcock use to discover Nova Del 1967?

3) On which tapestry is Comet Halley depicted?

4) On which date will the next transit of Mercury across the face
of the Sun be visible from Earth?

5) On which date will the next total solar eclipse be visible
from England?

6) Who discovered the famous sun-grazing comet in 1965?

7) Which faint compact cluster lies just southwest of M35?

8) Where was the Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams based
before the move to Cambridge?

9) What was the title of the famous catalogue by Peter Nilson
published in 1973?

10) The variable TU Leo is thought not to be real. Which object
accounted for the original variable star catalogued entry?

This year we extend an invitation to NON-MEMBERS of TA to also
participate.

The deadline is 1995 Dec 31 but the first all correct response
to reach the Editor's mailbox will be judged the winner. If
there are no all-correct responses then the highest score will
count as the winner.
