[vsnet-survey 48] ROSAT TDFs... the nRXP cats

As can be seen from survey-43 to -47, there are problems with the ROSAT
PSPC updated data [2RXP objects], with omissions and errors compared to
the original [1RXP objects].

I don't know if anybody has bothered to use the TDFs for Guide 7 given
in survey-36, but if someone has, and wants to use both the 1RXP and
2RXP catalogues, the following simple amendment to the point source
catalogue TDF in survey-36 will distinguish between the two datasets on
screen and in help mode.

In the RASS-PSC TDF in survey-36 change the eighth from top line
reading:
[remember, remove ! characters before use]

!~b 31 20 %s\n\n!

to

!~b 31 20 1RXP J%s\n\n!

and for the fifth line from _bottom_ change the part that reads:

type sc14

to

type sc13

Thus using the relevant datasets the 1RXP TDF in survey-36 will give
dark grey diamonds prefixed by "1RXP J" in HELP, whilst the 2RXP TDF in
survey-41 will give light grey diamonds prefixed by "2RXP J" in HELP.

Everything else is your own [and Garching's!] problem, ;>

Cheers

John
