WZ Sge: recent hump/eclipse develeopment etc

Dear Colleagues,

We have received new data from T. Vanmunster (two nights). We have
also reduced Kyoto data. The analysis has been somewhat delayed because
of a hardware trouble. If any of your observation doesn't seem to
have appeared in recent reports, we would be very pleased to receive
them again. We are also intensively reviewing the early stage (since
the start of the present outburst, or even preceding observations), and
we would be happy to receive any additional data on older dates
(please send them also to ishioka@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp and
uemura@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp)

We have, however, succeeded in reviewing most of the data received and
analyzed up to now. The fully analyzed Kyoto Oct. 3 data *very clearly*
show fully grown humps and deep and narrow eclipses again.

The data on Oct. 4 (J. Pietz and T. Vanumunster) show a previously
unseen general trend of fading (independently confirmed by two observers).
The fading, however, did not continue on Oct. 5 (observer B. Martin).

The amplitude of humps reached a maximum on Oct. 7, and has siginificantly
decreased on Oct. 8 (T. Vanmunster). The Oct. 8 run showed a general
trend of brightening, in contrast to the Oct. 4 observation. It seems that
slow modulations (hours to a day) seem to have appeared, which have not
been observed before. Time-series observations, as long as possible,
are strongly needed to confirm the presence of these low-frequency
modulations (undulations), and to reveal their nature.

The web update will be later made, when the entire network system becomes
usable again.

Regards,
Taichi Kato
