[vsnet-sequence 88] Sequence of WZ Sagittae
Norwegian Astronomical Society - Variable Star Section
Sequence of 2003+17 WZ Sagittae [Version 2001 July 23]
Position: R.A. = 20h07m36s.4, Decl. = +17o42'15" (2000.0)
Magnitude: 8.0 - 15.5 v Type: UGSU
This cataclysmic variable erupted in a very rare outburst on
2001 July 23 UT. The eruption was discovered by M. Oshima
[vsnet-alert 6093]. Previous outbursts occured in 1913, 1946,
and 1978.
I have prepared a list of bright comparison stars for this
object. Photometry (V and B-V) are from the Hipparcos catalogue
(stars 1-3) and Tycho-2 catalogue (others). Only stars with
B-V = +1.10 or less are included.

Magnitudes and colours should be accurate to within 0.02
magnitudes for the brighter stars and 0.05-0.10 mag. for the
faintest star. V and B-V from Tycho-2 are transformed from
VT and BT magnitudes by using the method of M. Bessel in
Publ. Ast. Soc. Pacific, 112, 961 (2000). B. Skiff mentions
[vsnet-alert 6099] that star 6 was measured by Krzemenski
and Kraft in 1964 and that its expected R magnitude is
R = 8.64.
