The RXTE X-ray lightcurve of Eta Car through May 19 is available at http://lheawww.gsfc.nasa.gov/users/corcoran/eta_car/etacar_rxte_lightcurve/ the rate in the last 2 pointings (May 18 & 19) is declining slightly. Was the peak on May 17 the "final peak" before the decline to minimum? If so this would buck the trend seen last time of increasing peak amplitudes up until the eclipse ingress. But it's interesting (maybe not significant?) that this new "peak" occurs about 2015 days after the last "final peak"... see http://lheawww.gsfc.nasa.gov/users/corcoran/eta_car/2003.5/#annotated_lc cheers Mike -- *********************************************************** Dr. Michael F.
