Subject: [vsnet 2128] SV Vul

This to announce that I have added an article of the delta Cepheid
variable SV Vul to my web site at this address:

http://hjem.get2net.dk/varstars/artikler/SV_Vul.htm

This article includes a link to another article that explains the
so-called Hertzsprung method for analyzing stars of this type.

Summary: From 1311 visual observations made by 3 observers in the
years 1992-2001 I have calculated 3 "normal maxima" using the
Hertzsprung method. Then I have included 20 earlier maxima covering
the years back to the early 1920-es, and I found that the period has
been slowly decreasing during that long time. The period being about
45 days is now 5 hours shorter than at the discovery of the stars
variability 80 years ago. The maxima can be calculated from these new
elements:

Max = J.D. 244 3087,79 + 45,0188 * E - 0,000 1732 * E+ an irregular
term with an amplitude of 1,8 days.
