The BAAVSS light curve for R CrB between 1921-2000 can be seen at

http://vsnet.britastro.org/vss/gifl/00107.gif

It's difficult to make out the minimum magnitude from this plot (because
of the scale used), but it's obvious R CrB has not reached as faint
as 14.8 in this period. A check of the database will give the precise
minimum reached, but it looks to me around 14.5 as the faintest (1949).
Maybe Roger Pickard can shed more light on this!

Gary
