[vsnet-rcb 84] Re: LO Cep nature? ...etc
LO Cep: I observed the spectrum of this star and classed as A0-A5 with
the hydrogen lines, i.e obviously non RCB-star. (Astron.Tsirkular,
No 991, 1, 1978).
CT Vul: I and Dr.Platais (Baldone/Riga, Latvia) confirmed the Meinunger'
conclusion that it is non RCB-star. We concluded this from
our objective prism spectrum with the Balmer lines.
(Investigations of the Sun and red stars, No 11, 27, 1980;
Riga, Latvia)
Additional informations of these and others stars you can find
in the paper of
Jeffery C.S. et al., in: Hydrogen deficient stars, eds. C.S.Jeffery,
U.Heber. ASP Conf.Ser., 96, 471, 1996 ; notes to Table 1)
All similar stars are enough faint therefore the question of classification
as the RCB star always has some difficultness with the photometry and
the spectroscopy. And often it stoped after the their exclusion
from the RCB group. For the final classification the great help can
make long-term observations.
