[vsnet-polar 1] New list: vsnet-polar
New list: vsnet-polar
We have set up a new list, vsnet-polar, as a sub-list of vsnet-alert
and partly other recent lists. The new list reports recent noteworthy
activities of polars (AM Her stars), especially follow-up news of recent
episodes of fadings or outbursts, which are not always extremely urgent
to be distributed via vsnet-alert, but are important to opportunity
observations of this kind of cataclysmic objects.
The list is rather strictly restricted for the follow-up usage.
Important notifications (such as discovery of events, important progress,
call for urgent observations etc.) should be also directed to vsnet-alert
as before. Individual (regular) observations should be sent to vsnet-obs
as before. For discussions of general interest, please use vsnet-chat.
For multiwavelength studies and campaigns, we intend to use vsnet-campaign
at least for the moment. VSNET administrators may forward such messages
to other VSNET lists when necessary.
The initial list of vsnet-polar includes members of vsnet-alert.
If one wish to subscribe or unsubscribe to vsnet-polar, please send
a message to vsnet-adm, with a text line
SUBSCRIBE vsnet-polar your e-mail address or
UNSUBSCRIBE vsnet-polar your e-mail address
Please feel free to distribute this message to interested parties
or persons who may be interested in this field of variable stars.
