   AB Nor is most likely an SU UMa-type dwarf nova.  The last long outburst
(presumably superoutburst) was observed in 2000 April, with a prominent
precursor (vsnet-alert 4568, 4574, 4578, 4589, 4590, 4594, 4597).

   Urgent time-series CCD photometry is extremely strongly encouraged!!
