CC Cnc outburst (superoutburst?)
As reported by Mike Simonsen (vsnet-outburst 3058), the SU UMa-type
dwarf nova CC Cnc is undergoing a bright outburst.
CNCCC 011110.2118 13.2 SXN OUTBURST
The present outburst may be a superoutburst. Since the superhump period
has not been precisely determined yet (cf. Kato and Nogami (1997) PASJ 49,
341), we would encourage time-series observations to precisely determine
the superhump period, superhump excess and the period change. Since CI UMa
has mostly gone, this object will be a good morning target after the
1RXS J232953.9+062814 runs! In spite of intesive observations, no firm
outburst was reported for this star during the 2000-2001 winter season.
Beware of the presence of a companion when making estimates.

Taichi Kato
